Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels

Luminous, vibrant skin is close at hand for those willing to take advantage of an appealing cutting-edge beauty treatment enjoyed by more and more spa clients every year: chemical peels. The name is a bit deceptive, though, as there’s usually little to no peeling involved in a process that’s helping clients regain hints of their youthful good looks. During a chemical peel, a solution selected for the appropriate degree of the peel is applied to the clients face and allowed to penetrate the skin. Peels are divided into a trio of categories: superficial (or lunchtime) peels that gently exfoliate; medium peels treating roughened skin; and deep peels (usually suitable only for a one-time treatment) removing moderate lines and shallow scars. As a general rule, plan for at least a 20-minute treatment session, although that time may be impacted by the level of peel suggested by your expert treatment specialist. Your spa’s esthetician can provide the guidance you need in selecting the appropriate level of treatment for lessening the appearance of scars, crow’s feet, fine wrinkles, long term sun-damaged and aging skin, pigment changes and more. Normally results are apparent for about a month, when the skin naturally regenerates. Usually the candidates best able to benefit from a chemical peel are fair-skinned, light-haired people. Peels aren’t ideally-suited for clients with a dark-skinned complexion. Could you benefit from the advantages of a chemical peel, one of the top non-invasive cosmetic procedures available? Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion

There’s healthy, youthful skin hiding beneath the surface of your face, simply waiting to break through and let your inner beauty or rugged handsomeness shine. Microdermabrasion (also known as microderm) is the gentle cosmetic procedure tailor-made to help you unveil that luminous beauty in the amount of time usually needed to escape for a 30-minute lunch break. Microdermabrasion rejuvenates your sun-damaged skin by erasing the top layer of dry, dead skin cells — usually through the use of a minimally abrasive vacuum-like microderm machine buffeting your skin with tiny crystals that provide a buffing effect. Crystals and dead skin are then returned to the machine, leaving behind refreshed skin in an entirely painless process. (Microdermabrasion shouldn’t be confused with the surgically invasive dermabrasion procedure usually performed in a medical setting.) Results are breathtaking for every skin type in this microdermabrasion exfoliation treatment. Age spots caused by sun damage disappear. Fine lines and wrinkles can take a brief hiatus. Acne can be dealt a severe blow, with microdermabrasion clearing clogged pores responsible for those unsightly facial blemishes; additionally, acne scars can be reduced. And finally, enlarged pores can be tightened. Sadly, all these benefits are temporary because our own biology works against us. Typically our skin regenerates after roughly 30 days – erasing the benefits of a treatment session — and making return trips to your experienced esthetician at Fusion Spa an essential part of your established personal beauty regimen.   SCHEDULE a Treatment...
